Blue Cheese & Arugula Burger, Level up Your Week Night Burger

Serves: 4 | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Bison, formed into 4 patties
  • 4 Brioche Buns
  • 4 oz Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • ½ Cup Fig Jam
  • ½ Cup Pickled Red Onions
  • 2 Cups Baby Arugula
  • 1 tsp. Kosher Salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season both sides of each patty evenly with kosher salt. Let the patties sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before grilling.
  3. Grill the patties for about 4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Lightly toast the brioche buns, if desired.
  6. Spread 1 tablespoon of fig jam on both the top and bottom buns.
  7. Place a burger patty on each bottom bun. Top with 1 ounce of crumbled blue cheese, a generous handful of arugula, and a spoonful of pickled red onions.
  8. Finish with the top bun and serve with your favorite salad, fries, or potato chips.
