Traceability at Tangen Draw starts with knowing the animal behind every package, how it was raised, and the life it lived before reaching your table. Each animal in our program is individually identified and tracked, with that identity maintained through processing so every steak and pound of ground stays connected to a single source animal.
Today, those records are maintained by Tangen Draw behind the scenes. We’re working toward a future where customers can access more of that individual animal history directly, creating an even clearer connection between the ranch and your table.
How Our Traceability Process Works

Individual Identification
Each animal is given an individual identity (ear tag). This creates the foundation for a record that stays connected to that animal throughout its life.

A Documented Life History
We maintain records associated with each animal, giving us a clear and accountable history from the ranch forward.

Identity Maintained Through Processing
The animal’s identity is printed on meat labels during processing. This allows the finished cuts to remain connected to the animal they came from.

Traceable Packaged Beef
Every steak and every pound of ground beef can be traced back to one individual animal—not simply a group of cattle or an unidentified supply chain.
