Protein Bowl with Hot Honey Drizzle
Ingredients
- 1 lb TD Primal Blend (bison or beef) or Classic TD Ground Bison or Beef
- 2–3 tbsp taco seasoning (homemade or siete seasoning works great
- 2 tbsp water (if needed)
- 2 sweet potatoes, cubed
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 avocado, chopped
- 4 tsp hot honey
- Hot sauce (to taste)
- Pickled onions (optional)
- Hot & sweet jalapeños (optional)
- 2 tsp olive oil or avocado oil
- ½ tsp sea salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Toss cubed sweet potatoes with oil, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, flipping halfway. (Air fryer works too!)
- Cook the beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high, add ground beef, and cook for 6–7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula until browned and fully cooked. Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water if the mixture is dry.
- Assemble the bowls
- Divide sweet potatoes between 4 bowls.
- Top with beef, then a scoop of cottage cheese.
- Add avocado, drizzle with hot honey, and finish with hot sauce + pickled onions or jalapeños.
Storage Tip
Store beef, sweet potatoes, and toppings separately in the fridge (up to 3–4 days). Reheat base ingredients and top with fresh items before serving.
