Copycat IN-N-OUT Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb TD Ground Beef or Bison
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- 4 Slices of American or Cheddar Cheese
- 2 TBLS Mayonnaise
- 1 TBLS Relish
- 2 TBLS Ketchup
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 4 Leaves of Lettuce
- 4 Large Slices of Tomato
Directions:

Form the Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a thin patty, about ½ inch thick.

Prepare the Cooking Surface:
- Preheat a cast iron pan on your stovetop or grill until it's medium hot.
- Place the patties onto the grill surface.
- Sprinkle the patties with salt.

Cook the Patties:
- Cook the patties for about 3 minutes on each side.
- After flipping the patties for the first time, place a slice of cheese on each patty.
- Cover the cooking surface with a bowl or rounded lid to melt the cheese and ensure the patties are fully cooked.

Prepare the Burger Spread:
- While the patties are cooking, whisk together the prepared sauces to make the burger spread.

Toast the Buns:
- Remove the patties from the pan after 5-6 minutes of cooking and place them on a plate.
- Wipe the grill surface clean.
- Place the buns onto the cooking surface to toast.
- Toast the buns for about 1 minute, or 30 seconds on each side.
